The Festival Committee is pleased to announce the winner of this year's American Redstart Photo Contest.  The competition was very close and required three rounds of voting by the Committee!

The winning photo was taken by Doug Martin. Congratulations Doug!  His image of an American Redstart singing from a perch on a sun-kissed green cedar bough captured the species identifying characteristics and habitat context in an appealing composition.   

This image will now be featured on the cover of the Festival’s 2024 Program Brochure, which goes to print in December.

The Committee thanks each of you for your submitted images of our photogenic little feathered friend and Festival mascot!  
The Committee also wishes to thank Carol Edwards-Harrison of Owen Sound for the American Redstart photo she generously donated to the Festival, which has graced the cover of our past brochures.
