Description automatically generated and the Festival Committee are so pleased to announce the winner of this year's “Best Bird of the Festival” Photo Contest.  Many of the images submitted were very worthy of the title, however only one could be chosen and we’re thrilled with the  A close up of a sign

Description automatically generated selection.

Congratulations to Kiah Jasper, whose photo of a Canada Warbler has been chosen as the winner!

His image shows the bird sitting in full profile perched atop a cedar branch that sweeps diagonally across the frame, lending an appealing symmetry and some habitat context to the composition. The uncluttered background of muted greenery allows the birds’ colours to shine. The image captures the bird in full song with its head thrown back, showing off its bright yellow throat and belly, bold black necklace, and yellow spectacles.   Picture perfect!
