The 1.2 kilometre Huron Fringe Boardwalk Trail is designed with the mobility impaired in mind. This boardwalk takes you along the edges of two wetlands where various species of birds and turtles can be seen. Benches are placed conveniently along the route so that you can have a rest or watch a sunset on Lake Huron. |
During the winter months this trail will take you through the frozen wetlands of Turtle Pond, Ash Swamp and along the shoreline, where you may catch a glimpse at Snowshoe Hares and White Tailed Deer. As well, stop by the Visitor Centre to see all kinds of species of birds at the feeders. | ![]() |
