Biking Old Shore Rd

Over 100 years ago, the Old Shore Road Trail was a transportation route for those travelling between the Lake Huron communities of Kincardine and Southampton. Now the 7 kilometre Old Shore Road Trail is a linear trail that extends the full length of the park along Lake Huron. Ideal for both cyclists and hikers, this trail is a pleasant off road route between the campgrounds and the Visitor Centre. During the winter months, Old Shore Road will be groomed for snowshoeing from the Visitor Centre to throughout Nipissing campground. The distance varies from 1km to 5km long.
Be sure to come back down the trail as the sun begins to set and experience the stunning Lake Huron sunsets from the best look out in the park, Sunset Point.

You can jump on the trail from the Visitor Centre where you can head along the Old Shore Road trail past Campers Beach to as far as the last entrance to Nipissing campground.
